Abstract

 記録データに応じて空間光位相変調を行うことで、ホログラム記録媒体に対し位相の情報によりデータ記録を行う記録手法と、このように記録された位相の情報を適正に読み出すことで記録したデータを再生する再生手法を提案する。記録データに応じた位相変調パターンを与えた信号光と、所定の位相変調パターンを与えた参照光とをホログラム記録媒体に対して照射する。これにより、記録データを位相の情報によって上記ホログラム記録媒体に対して記録することができる。再生時には、参照光と、この参照光内の基準位相との位相差がπ/2となる全体位相を有するDC光とをホログラム記録媒体に対して照射する。それにより、再生光と上記DC光の位相を揃えることができ、上記再生光に対し、上記DC光が振幅「1」の成分として加算することができる。このようにDC光が加算された再生光を読み出すことで、記録された位相の情報が正しく読み出すことができる。
