Abstract

　排気中の粒子状物質（ＰＭ）の捕集効率が高く、初期圧力損失が小さいと共に、ＰＭの捕集に伴う圧力損失の増大が抑制されたハニカム構造体を提供する。 　ハニカム構造体は、炭化珪素多孔質セラミックスで構成され単一の方向に延びて列設された複数の隔壁により区画された複数のセルを備え、水銀圧入法により測定された前記隔壁の気孔直径の平均値が１μｍ～１５μｍであり、かつ、気孔直径を常用対数で表した場合の気孔径分布の標準偏差が０．２０以下であるハニカム構造体であって、気孔直径が２μｍ未満の気孔の全気孔に対する割合が５体積％以下とされている。
