Abstract
本発明は、臓器壁面と筐体とを接触させる方向に作用する液体の表面張力を軽減でき、臓器内部の液面に浮遊した状態で臓器壁面と筐体とが接触した場合であっても、臓器壁面から筐体を容易に離間できることを目的とする。本発明にかかるカプセル型内視鏡1は、臓器内部の液体に比して比重を小さく設定して、この液体の液面Sに筐体2を浮遊させ、筐体2の中心Cから外れた位置に重心Gを設定して、この液面Sに浮遊した状態で筐体2に特定の浮遊姿勢を維持させる。この筐体2と液面Sとの境界部Bは、この特定の浮遊姿勢をとる筐体2を液面Sに対して垂直に投影した投影面Ka内であって投影面Kaの外周Kbを除く位置に形成される。
