Abstract
The invention relates to a device (110) for incubating at least one sample carrier (112) having at least one incubation fluid. The sample carrier (112) comprises at least one incubation surface (116). The device (110) comprises at least one receiving unit (118) comprising at least one receiving surface (120) having at least one first depression (122) for placing the sample carrier (112). The receiving surface (120) further comprises at least one second depression (124) for receiving the incubation fluid, wherein the second depression (124) has a greater depth than the first depression (122). The first depression (122) and the second depression (124) overlap, such that when the sample carrier (112) is placed in the first depression (122), the sample carrier (112) and the second depression (124) together form an incubation chamber (126).
