Abstract

入力映像信号の各フレームから抽出した画素を、それぞれ所定サンプルごとに間引くと共に、その間引かれたサンプルをフレーム毎に均等な順序で取り出してＨＤ－ＳＤＩフォーマットの第１，第２，第３及び第４のサブイメージのアクティブ期間にマッピングする。マッピングされた第１，第２，第３及び第４のサブイメージを、それぞれ１つのサブイメージごとに第１のリンクの伝送チャンネルと第２のリンクの伝送チャンネルに分割して８つのチャンネルにマッピングする。マッピングされた第１，第２，第３及び第４のサブイメージを、それぞれパラレル変換する。そして、パラレル変換されたパラレル・デジタルデータを出力する。
