Abstract

【課題】固体高分子形燃料電池の酸素還元触媒能を向上させることができる電極触媒、及びそれを用いた正極用酸素還元電極を提供する。 【解決手段】固体高分子形燃料電池の正極として用いられる酸素還元電極用の電極触媒であって、ZrCNを酸化して得られ、X線回折によりZrCNとZrO2が検出され、かつイオン化ポテンシャルが5.0~6.0eVであり、X線光電子分光によりZrO2が検出される。
