Abstract

 本発明のX 線発生装置は、内部を高真空または低圧ガス雰囲気に維持する容器(1)と、異極像結晶(4)と、温度昇降手段(3、5-7)と、X線発生用金属ターゲット(8)を備え、金属ターゲット(8)は、異極像結晶(4)に向かってのびる先の尖った突起を有する。温度昇降手段(3、5-7)を用いて異極像結晶(4)の温度を昇降させてX 線を発生させる際、前記突起の先端部では異極像結晶(4)と金属ターゲット(8)との間に生じる電界強度が大きくなるので、電子が金属ターゲット(8)に衝突して発生するX線の強度が増大する。これにより、実用上十分な強度のX線を発生し得る、異極像結晶を用いたX線発生装置を提供できる。
