Abstract

 全角度域においても、ボールの転動による耐摩耗性と安定した高い疲労強度特性を得ることができる固定式等速自在継手を提供する。  内周面21に複数のトラック溝22が形成された外側継手部材と、外周面24に複数のトラック溝25が形成された内側継手部材と、外側継手部材のトラック溝22と内側継手部材のトラック溝25との間に介在してトルクを伝達する複数のボール27と、このボール27を収容するポケット29を有するとともに外側継手部材と内側継手部材との間に介装されるケージ28とを備えた固定式等速自在継手である。最大作動角をとったときに、ボール27が外側継手部材のトラック溝開口端部22aまで転動する。外側継手部材のトラック溝22に、トラック溝奥側からトラック溝開口端部までの硬化層S1を形成する。トラック溝開口端部22aにおける硬化層S1の厚さを他の部位よりも薄くした。
