Abstract

The invention concerns a soft drink based on Indian gooseberry extract and a process of production thereof comprising the following steps: - washing and drying of fresh Indian gooseberries, - cutting the berries into small pieces and further drying for a couple of weeks, - extracting the dried berries with water, - filtering, boiling and pasteurizing the extract, - adding sugar or sweeteners and preservatives, - treating with UV-light and filtering, - carbonating, and - packaging of the resulting soft drink.

3AMENDED CLAIMS received by the International Bureau on 26 June 2009 (26.06.09)
1. The soft drinks (Light and Strong) comprising the following formulation
Indian goose berry extract [Phylanthus emblica) 1-9% (Light) and 81 to 100% (Strong)
Corbondioxide 1.90%
Carbonation done at subzero temperature
Sucralose -0.2% to 0.3%
Sucrose -15% to 20%
2. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in the aqueous extraction and carbonation of amla drink.
3. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in addition of sucralose in herbpl drinks.
4. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in addition of amla juice or amla extract with any other synthetic or natural soft drink in any amount of quantity either small or big quantity with other ingredients.
5. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in the addition of any nutrients, vitamins and used as supplements.
6. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in the addition of electrolytes used as rehydration therapy
7. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in addition of pulp, juice, extract and mixed with other plant derivatives or fruit juices, pulp and extract given as beverage.
8. The soft drinks of claim 1 where in addition of pulp, juice, extract and mixed with other plant derivatives or fruit juices, pulp and extract given as health drink.
