A glasses structure (100) for changeable temple sleeves (130) includes temple bodies (113), temple sleeves (130) and a lens frame (120). The temple bodies (113) extend from a frame-connecting end (111) to an ear-hanging end (112) and have a predetermined width throughout. Moreover, at the inner side of each temple sleeve (130) there is a slide track (131) to fit with the said temple body (113). The glasses structure (100) that provides the temple sleeves (130) which are changeable by employing slide tracks as fitting structures for the temple bodies and the temple sleeves, thereby allows easy changing of the temple sleeves to achieve a different look or style.
Description
GLASSES STRUCTURE FOR CHANGEABLE TEMPLES SLEEVES
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field
[0001] The disclosure relates to a new type of glasses structure, particularly to a glasses structure for changeable temple sleeves.
2. Description of the Prior Art
[0002] There are numerous types of glasses, including functional glasses, such as nearsighted glasses, reading glasses, etc., and fashionable glasses like sunglasses. Whether functional or fashionable, glasses have some common decorative elements. Thus, current glasses design (to a large extent) needs to provide an aesthetic appeal.
[0003] Present glasses mostly achieve aesthetic appeal through changing the glasses temples to ones with different fashions. However, the connection between glasses temples and glasses frame needs to be sufficiently strong to keep the glasses on the wearer's head. Thus, there is a dilemma between changing glasses temples and lens frame structure. That is to say, if the glasses are designed in a changeable temples structure, this often leads to a reduction in strength of the connection between glasses temples and lens frame and may cause the breaking of the glasses. [0004] Because of current technical drawbacks, there is a need for improvement and development.
SUMMARY
[0005] An objective is to provide a type of glasses structure for changeable temple sleeves. Through improvement on the fitting style for the temple body and the temples sleeve, the temple sleeves can be easily changed.
[0006] Briefly stated, a type of glasses structure for changeable temple
sleeves comprises a pair of temples and a supporting frame for lens. The temple from the lens frame-connecting end to the ear-hanging end has a temple body of about the same width. A temple sleeve with an inner slide track is employed for fitting the temple body.
[0007] The temple body may have a square cross-section. The temple body may have a circular cross-section surface. At a predetermined location on the temple body, there is a first locking convex surface. Correspondingly there is a first locking concave surface in the slide track of the temple sleeve to fit the first locking convex surface.
[0008] The front end of the temple sleeve forms a curved portion for shielding the hinge connection with the said lens frame. Furthermore, there is a second locking concave surface in the slide track of the curved portion. Correspondingly there is a second locking convex surface on the lens frame to fit with the said second locking concave surface.
[0009] The glasses structure provides for changeable temple sleeves.
By employing slide tracks as fitting structures for the temple bodies and the temple sleeves, changing temple sleeves is made easier. The structure is simple and the temple sleeve style is changeable in accordance with the wearer's preference.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0010] Figure 1 is a three-dimensional diagram for a glasses structure for changeable temple sleeves;
[0011] Figure 2a, Figure 2b and Figure 2c are the diagram for the fitting of the temples and the accessories in the invention;
[0012] Figure 3a and Figure 3b are the enlarged diagrams for A portion and B portion in Figure 1 ; and
[0013] Figure 4a and Figure 4b are the enlarged diagrams for C portion and D portion in Figure 2c.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT [0014] A glasses structure for changeable temple sleeve 100 is shown in Figure 1. The structure includes glasses temples 110, lens frame 120 and lens 200. There are two glasses temples 110, which connect with the said
lens frame 120 through a hinge, to allow the entire structure to rest on the wearer's ears. The glasses temple 110 is shown in Figure 2a. The glasses temple 110 comprises a temple body 113 of about the same width and extends from the lens frame-connecting end 111 to the ear-hanging end 112. The temple body 113 can be cylindrical, i.e. the temple body cross-section is circular. The preferred embodiment employs a temple body with a square cross-section. In the temple sleeve 130 for the temple 110 there is an inner slide track 131 designed for fitting the temple body 113, as shown in Figure 2a, Figure 2b and Figure 2c.
[0015] The said temple sleeves 130 can have different dimensions, styles, texture and color. Therefore, the wearer can change the temple sleeves in accordance with his/ her preference. This can be achieved simply by moving temple sleeve 130 along the slide track 131 from the frame- connecting end to the temple body 113.
[0016] For securing the connection between the temple sleeve 130 and the temple body 113, at a predetermined location of the said temple body 113 there is a first locking convex surface 114, as shown in Figure 4a and Figure 4b. The first locking convex surface 114 can be at the end of the temple body 113 which can be fitted with the temple sleeve 130. Correspondingly, there is a first locking concave surface 134 in the slide track 131 of the temple sleeve 130. Through fitting of the first locking convex surface 114 and the first locking concave surface 134, the temple sleeve 130 can be mounted firmly and securely onto the temple body 113. The connection is firm and does not loosen or separate easily.
[0017] Simultaneously, near to the end of where the temple sleeve 130 connects with the lens frame 120 on the temple sleeve 130 there is a curved portion 132 mainly to shield the hinge connection with the lens frame 120. For example, the curved structure eliminates the exposure of a hinge connection and provides an aesthetic look. In the slide track of the curved portion 132 there is a second locking concave surface 135, which fits with the corresponding second locking convex surface 115 on the lens frame 120, as shown in Figure 3a and Figure 3b. When the temples 110 are open and become perpendicular to the lens frame 120, the second locking concave surface 135 is enabled to fit with the second locking convex surface 115 on
the lens frame 120 to prevent the temple sleeve 130 from loosening or falling off during use. This design also restricts the temple sleeves from being changed only when the temples are folded.
[0018] By employing the slide tracks as fitting structures for the temple bodies and the temple sleeves, changing temple sleeves is made easier for the subject glasses. The structure is simple and the style is changeable. Moreover, the fitting structure ensures a secured connection between the temple sleeve and the temple body, and facilitates changing and replacement of temple parts. When the temple is open in a normal state of use, the temple sleeve does not become loose or fall off.
[0019] It is understandable that any changes or modifications based on the above description by people of art in this field shall be covered within the scope of claims of the present invention.
