Abstract

本発明は、赤外線の通信妨害を抑制することができる赤外線通信妨害抑制用放電管、液晶表示装置用照明装置及び液晶表示装置を提供する。本発明は、一対の電極を備える赤外線通信妨害抑制用放電管であって、上記放電管は、水銀と、アルゴンガスと、アルゴンガスよりも低い励起エネルギーを持った希ガスとを管内に有する赤外線通信妨害抑制用放電管である。上記希ガスとしては、クリプトンガスが挙げられる。上記放電管は、更に、ネオンガスを管内に有していてもよい。
