Abstract

A slab having a steel composition which contains up to 0.0020 mass% carbon and further contains boron and nitrogen so as to satisfy at least either of a boron/nitrogen mass ratio of 1.5 or higher and a content of boron in solution of 5 ppm or higher, with the remainder being iron and incidental impurities, is subjected to hot rolling, cold rolling, and annealing. Thereafter, the resultant sheet is subjected to secondary cold rolling at a draft of 1.3-3.5%. Thus, a flexible tin-plated steel sheet is obtained which has a hardness of 52-60 in terms of HR30T.
