Abstract

Provided is a power transmission device which can reduce the number of parts. An electric power steering device includes: a reduction gear mechanism (14) contained in a gear housing (8) for transmitting a rotation torque of a brushless motor (12) to an output shaft of a steering shaft while reducing the speed; and a resolver (16) arranged in the gear housing (8)for detecting a rotation angle of the brushless motor (12). An external connection terminal (17) protruding outside the gear housing (8) is arranged on a stator (16b) of the resolver (16) so that the resolver (16) is electrically connected to a motor control unit (13) arranged outside the gear housing (8) via the external connection terminal (17).
