Abstract
触媒存在下、ひまし油またはひまし油縮合物を開始剤として、該開始剤の分解による低分子量の副生物を生じることなく、エチレンオキシドを開始剤に均一に開環付加させて、高い効率で水酸基が一級化した、高いバイオマス度のポリオールの製造方法、およびその製造方法により製造したポリオールを提供する。 カチオン重合触媒の存在下、ひまし油およびひまし油縮合物から選択される少なくとも一種の開始剤にヘテロ環状化合物を開環付加させるポリオールの製造方法であって、前記ヘテロ環状化合物が環状エーテルおよび環状エステルからなる群から選択される化合物であって、その少なくとも一部がエチレンオキシドであり、カチオン重合触媒が、含フッ素アリール基または含フッ素アリールオキシ基を有する、アルミニウム化合物およびホウ素化合物からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種であることを特徴とするポリオールの製造方法。
