Abstract

本発明の目的は、端縁に対して単位レンズが並行して配列する光学部材を用いつつ、モアレを回避し得る液晶表示装置を提供することである。 バックライト(10)は、背面側から液晶パネル(11)を照射する。 光学部材(15)は、液晶パネル(11)に向けて照射される光を透過可能なレンズシート(28)と拡散シート(27)を貼り合わせてなる。 レンズシート(28)は、表側の面に単位レンズ(29)が多数並列配置されてなるレンズ部(30)が設けられるのに対し、裏側の面にレンズ部(30)に対応した開口部(31)を有する反射層(32)が設けられる。 光学部材(15)は、ホルダ(17)及びランプホルダ(16)に設けられた受け部(21)(24)により裏側から受けられるとともに、フレーム(18)により表側から押さえられる。ホルダ(17)の受け部(24)には、光学部材(15)の外周端面(15b)に当接することで、液晶パネル(11)の画素電極PEの配列に対し光学部材(15)の端縁(15a)及び単位レンズ(29)の配列が相対的に傾くような姿勢に光学部材(15)を支持する突起(33)が設けられる。
