Abstract

本発明の目的は、端縁に対して単位レンズが並行して配列する光学部材を用いつつ、モアレを回避し得る液晶表示装置を提供することである。 バックライト（１０）は、背面側から液晶パネル（１１）を照射する。 光学部材（１５）は、液晶パネル（１１）に向けて照射される光を透過可能なレンズシート（２８）と拡散シート（２７）を貼り合わせてなる。 レンズシート（２８）は、表側の面に単位レンズ（２９）が多数並列配置されてなるレンズ部（３０）が設けられるのに対し、裏側の面にレンズ部（３０）に対応した開口部（３１）を有する反射層（３２）が設けられる。 光学部材（１５）は、ホルダ（１７）及びランプホルダ（１６）に設けられた受け部（２１）（２４）により裏側から受けられるとともに、フレーム（１８）により表側から押さえられる。ホルダ（１７）の受け部（２４）には、光学部材（１５）の外周端面（１５ｂ）に当接することで、液晶パネル（１１）の画素電極ＰＥの配列に対し光学部材（１５）の端縁（１５ａ）及び単位レンズ（２９）の配列が相対的に傾くような姿勢に光学部材（１５）を支持する突起（３３）が設けられる。
