Abstract

　視野角特性及びコントラストが高く、高輝度の表示が可能な直視型のマイクロレンズアレイ付き液晶表示パネルを提供する。 　本発明のマイクロレンズアレイ付き液晶表示パネルは、複数の画素を有する液晶パネルと、液晶パネルの光入射側に設けられたマイクロレンズアレイと、液晶パネルの光出射側に設けられた第１の偏光板及び第１の光学補償素子と、マイクロレンズアレイの光入射側に設けられた第２の偏光板及び第２の光学補償素子とを備え、第１の光学補償素子の厚さ方向のリタデーションが、第２の光学補償素子の厚さ方向のリタデーションよりも大きい。
