Abstract

　本経路データ収集方法は、送信元装置が、宛先装置への経路上の少なくともレイヤ２装置やキャリア網内装置に対して当該レイヤ２装置又はキャリア網内装置の所定の設定データを含む応答パケットを送信元装置へ返信するように要求する要求パケットを送信するステップと、要求パケットに応答可能なレイヤ２装置又はキャリア網内装置が、上記要求パケットを受信した場合には、レイヤ２装置の記憶装置に格納されている所定の設定データを読み出し、当該所定の設定データを含む応答パケットを送信元装置へ送信すると共に、上記要求パケットを宛先装置宛に出力するステップと、送信元装置が、応答パケットを受信した場合、当該応答パケットに含まれる所定の設定データを表示装置に表示する表示ステップとを含む。このようにすればレイヤ２装置やキャリア網内装置からも所定の設定データを受け取ることができ、経路上の装置を検討することができるようになる。
