Disclosed are: a protein having an activity of producing glucosamine-6-phosphate from fructose-6-phosphate and ammonia; DNA encoding the protein; recombinant DNA comprising the DNA; a microorganism capable of producing the protein; and a method for producing glucosamine or glucosamine-6-phosphate by using the microorganism.
