Abstract

　網膜走査型であって、虚像と実像とを同時に視認させる画像表示装置で、黒色を表現するとともに、光学系を小型化する。 　画像光ＩＬを観察者Ｐの網膜Ｆに導くリレーレンズを構成する第２のレンズ９１を、その光軸ＡＸが観察者Ｐの瞳孔と交差するように配置し、画像光ＩＬを全反射する反射ミラーＭを、その反射面が第２のレンズ９１の光軸ＡＸと交差するように配置する。そして、画像光ＩＬの２次元走査中に、一部の画像光ＩＬを観察者の網膜に投射させないようにする。これにより、その画像光ＩＬが投射されなかった点の色が、黒色として認識されるようになり、光学系を小型化することができる。
