Abstract

 周波数スペクトルの符号化方式において、従来よりも平均的な符号化歪みを小さくし、聴感的に良好な音質を得る符号化装置。この符号化装置では、シェイプ量子化部(111)は、入力スペクトルのシェイプを少数のパルスの位置、極性で量子化する。シェイプ量子化部(111)は、パルスの位置を探索する際に、後に探索されるパルスの振幅を、前に探索されたパルスの振幅以下に設定する。ゲイン量子化部(112)は、シェイプ量子化部(111)によって探索されたパルスのゲインをバンド毎に算出して量子化する。
