Abstract

　情報ビットが少ない場合であっても聴感的に良好な音質を得る符号化装置。この符号化装置では、シェイプ量子化部（１１１）は、所定の探索区間を複数に区切ったバンド毎にパルスを探索して符号化する区間探索部（１２１）と、この探索区間全体に渡ってパルスの探索を行う全体探索部（１２２）と、を備え、入力スペクトルのシェイプを少数のパルスの位置、極性で量子化する。ゲイン量子化部（１１２）は、シェイプ量子化部（１１１）によって探索されたパルスのゲインをバンド毎に算出して量子化する。
