Abstract

Disclosed is a protein having an activity of producing cytidine 5'-monophosphate (CMP) from cytosine. Specifically disclosed is: a protein having an amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, 2 or 30; or a protein which has an amino acid sequence having the substitution of at least one amino acid residue selected from amino acid residues at the 36th, 46th, 94th, 102nd, 121st, 141st, 143rd, 167th and 198th positions in an amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:1, 2 or 30 by a different amino acid residue.
