- VCC application entities Add the following set of functional entities in the IMS domain and the CS domain, collectively referred to as VCC application entities:
- DTF Dense Tranfer Function entity (FE-A in Figure 1), It is the centralized control point in the above network. Responsible for anchoring the call in the IMS domain, switching the Si S3 ⁇ 4 ⁇ 4 2 7 control; also responsible for maintaining the domain information of the active session, selecting services for subsequent domains;
- the CS domain adaptation function entity (FE-B in Figure 1) is responsible for providing a proxy for the CS originated call and the call to the CS domain to enter the IMS network;
- the CAMEL service application entity (FE-C in Figure 1) is responsible for redirecting circuit domain calls to the IMS domain for call anchoring control.
- the FE-C will be combined with the gsmSCF in the figure and embodied as an SCP (Service Control Point) in the circuit domain;
- DSF Domain Selection Function entity (FE-D in Figure 1), responsible for obtaining VCC user active session connection domain selection information from the DTF according to the user's registration status in the IMS domain, the operator's policy, the user's Various strategies, such as preferences, capabilities of the terminal, and the ability of the IP-CAN to carry real-time voice services, make decisions and control the routing of calls to selected connection domains.
- FE-D Domain Selection Function entity
- the process of selecting the connection domain in the session of the ordinary VCC user is as shown in FIG. 2, and includes the following steps:
- the S-CSCF of the called user receives the initial session establishment request, and the URI (Universal Resource Identifier) in the request may be a telephone uniform resource identifier Tel URI or a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) unified resource.
- Identifier SIP URI form ;
- the S-CSCF forwards the invitation (INVITE) sent by the VCC user to the DTF for processing according to the user subscription information obtained in the registration process.
- the DTF determines that the call belongs to the called process, and determines the anchor according to the policy.
- the DTF forwards the INVITE back to the S-CSCF.
- the S-CSCF determines, according to the user subscription information obtained in the registration process, if the VCC user session is a session, the DSF function is invoked, and the INVITE is forwarded to the DSF.
- the DSF selects the network domain registered by the called user according to the related information to connect the call; the related information of the general judgment includes the registration status of the user in the network, the connection domain information of the VCC service activity call, the policy of the operator, the preference of the user, Terminal capabilities and IP-CAN (IP Connectivity Access Network, IP connection access network, where: IP is Internet rotocoi, Internet Protocol) The ability to carry real-time voice services.
- the related information of the general judgment includes the registration status of the user in the network, the connection domain information of the VCC service activity call, the policy of the operator, the preference of the user, Terminal capabilities and IP-CAN (IP Connectivity Access Network, IP connection access network, where: IP is Internet rotocoi, Internet Protocol) The ability to carry real-time voice services.
- the DSF also needs to convert the number of the INVITE message to the IMS domain number.
- the DSF returns the INVITE to the S-CSCF to continue processing.
- the S-CSCF continues to forward the INVITE to the selected connection domain according to the INVITE.
- the first problem in the foregoing process is that the DSF does not solve the problem of how to process the session, that is, the session connection of the called user in this session. Domain information is notified to the DTF. In this way, the DTF cannot know that the currently anchored call is finally connected in that domain.
- the DTF anchor if the domain selection process is required, the DTF cannot provide the exact connection domain of the previously anchored call, resulting in DSF. There is no guarantee that two calls will be connected in the same domain. According to the processing of VCC, there is no guarantee that some supplementary services are invoked, which affects the user's business experience.
- the fact that a call is connected in a different domain may mean different charges to the user.
- the DTF entity acts as a centralized control point and is responsible for charging the VCC user's service invocation process. If the DTF cannot obtain the final domain selection result, the accounting information cannot be guaranteed correctly, which may cause serious consequences for the user's complaints to the network operator. .
- the second problem in the above process is that the selected session active domain selection information saved on the DTF is not transmitted to the DSF.
- the DSF cannot ensure that the call and the DTF have been anchored.
- the scheduled active call is connected in the same domain. Therefore, some supplementary services involving multiple sessions/calls, such as call waiting, cannot be provided in a certain domain, which affects the user's service experience.
- the domain selection function (DSF, embodied in the FE-D entity) in VCC is only the selection of the connection domain for the call of the voice component.
- DSF domain selection function
- multiple media components such as video, data, voice, text, etc.
- Some services and applications require the selection of a connection domain for different components of a multimedia call, such as CSI (Crystal of CS and IMS services).
- the CSI is a technology for providing a call synthesis of a real-time media carried by a CS and a non-real-time media carried by an IMS to a user, that is, a user can simultaneously use a CS domain and an IMS domain bearer. Users pass CSI technology What you get is a multimedia call experience.
- the CSI-AS CSI Application Server
- the CSI-AS needs to split the received media session into the real-time media component and the non-real-time media component in the CS and IMS domains respectively, and then provide the terminal synthesis. To the user.
- the called domain connection process in the multimedia VCC service is as shown in FIG. 3, and includes the following steps:
- the S-CSCF of the called user receives the multimedia initial session establishment request.
- S302 The S-CSCF forwards the INVITE to the DTF for processing according to the service logic.
- the DTF determines that the call belongs to the called process, and determines the anchor according to the policy.
- the DTF forwards the INVITE back to the S-CSCF.
- the S-CSCF determines to invoke the DSF function according to the service logic, and forwards the INVITE to the DSF.
- the DSF selects a network domain registered by the user according to the foregoing information to connect the call.
- the DSF will return to the INVITE after processing to the S-CSCF to continue processing;
- the S-CSCF forwards the INVITE sent by the VCC user to the CSI-AS for processing according to the user subscription information obtained in the registration process;
- the CSI-AS splits the media component in the multimedia session, and the non-real-time media component is connected in the IMS domain, and the real-time media component is connected in the CS domain;
- S3010-S301 K CSI-AS initiates call setup to the two domains through the S-CSCF according to the split result.
- the DSF needs to care about the situation in which the different media components in the session eventually connect to the domain, not just the connection domain of the session.
- the problem is that a multimedia session may be connected in different domains after being split by CSI-AS, and the DSF sees a multimedia session, which requires a session aggregation point (ie, CSI-AS) containing different media components to process.
- CSI-AS session aggregation point
- the mechanism for selecting information notification to the DSF does not give the mechanism for DSF notification to the DTF, and the mechanism by which the DTF passes the user-related active session domain selection information to the DSF. Summary of the invention
