Abstract

La présente invention concerne des procédés et des compositions efficaces pour traiter, prévenir ou réduire la gravité d'un reflux gastro-œsophagien pathologique (RGOP), ou en atténuer les symptômes. Les compositions contiennent en tant que principe actif un extrait du genre végétal Conyza Less, de préférence de l'espèce Conyza bonariensis (L) Cronq. La composition ne contient que des ingrédients naturels et son innocuité d'utilisation a été démontrée, tout en produisant malgré tout un effet thérapeutique bénéfique. La composition peut également être administrée conjointement avec des médicaments anti-RGOP traditionnels, soit des médicaments en vente libre, soit des médicaments délivrés sur ordonnance, tels que des antiacides, des agonistes des récepteurs H2, des inhibiteurs de pompe à protons, des agents favorisant le transit et du sucralfate. Les compositions sont particulièrement efficaces pour le traitement et la prévention du RGOP, des symptômes du RGOP et des pathologies associées au RGOP, incluant les aigreurs d'estomac, la régurgitation, l'œsophagite, le reflux gastro-œsophagien non érosif (RGONE), l'œsophage de Barrett, et n'importe quelle combinaison de ces pathologies.
