Abstract

本発明は、インバータ基板の変形が生じ難く、信頼性の高い構造を備えた表示装置用照明装置を提供することを目的とする。 本発明の表示装置用照明装置は、冷陰極管と、冷陰極管を取り付けるバックライトシャーシ（１４）と、バックライトシャーシ（１４）に取り付けられたインバータ基板（５０）と、を備えている。 バックライトシャーシ（１４）には、インバータ基板（５０）を取り付けるための爪部（４０）が具備されており、インバータ基板（５０）は、その一端部が爪部（４０）に引っ掛けられてバックライトシャーシ（１４）に係止されてなる一方、他端部がネジ部材（７０）によってバックライトシャーシ（１４）にネジ止めされてなることを特徴とする。 本発明は、液晶表示装置に適用可能である。
