Abstract
画像符号化装置は、入力画像信号のフレームを分割した複数の画素ブロック毎に該画素ブロックに対応する複数の第1予測信号を生成するために、予測方向の異なる複数の予測モードに従って、符号化済み画素を参照画素に用いて前記画素ブロックを予測するように構成される複数方向予測部;前記複数の予測モードの予測方向と、前記画素ブロック中の予測画素と前記参照画素との間の空間的距離とに応じて重み係数を設定するように構成される設定部;前記画素ブロックに対応する一つの第2予測信号を生成するために、前記複数の第1予測信号を前記重み係数に従って加重平均するように構成される加重平均部;及び 符号化データを生成するために、前記画素ブロックの画像信号と、少なくとも前記第2予測信号との差を表す予測残差信号を符号化するように構成される符号化部;を有する。
