Abstract
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Freikolbenmotor, der druckgasmäßig sowohl mit einem Vorverdichter (14) als auch mit einer Turbine (16) verbunden ist. Es ist vorgesehen, dass der Freikolbenmotor (18) zumindest einen in einem Zylinderraum hin und her bewegbaren und diesen in zwei Verbrennungskammern (36, 38) unterteilenden Kolben (20) aufweist und dass der Vorverdichter elektrisch und/oder abgasunterstützt betätigbar ist.
