Abstract

The inventive device (1) for wrapping the lateral (2) and top end (3) faces of a palletised cargo (4) comprises a platform (5) forming the cargo (4) support, at least one pair of vertical arms (7) which are mounted on both sides of the cargo (4) and each of which is provided with a film unwinder (8) arranged thereon, wherein said unwinders embodied in such a way that they are translationally movable along at least one part of the arms and means for relatively rotating the cargo (4) and each pair of arms (7) around an axis coaxial with the vertical axis of symmetry of the cargo, wherein at least two film unwinders are vertically shifted with respect to each other in such a way that during wrapping, at least one first film unwinder (8b) is disposed in front of the lateral faces of the cargo for wrapping them and at least one second film unwinder (8a) is disposed substentially oppositely to or above the top edge (10) of the cargo for simultaneously wrapping the top face (3) thereof.
