Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé, un programme informatique et un appareil de commande pour faire fonctionner un véhicule dans un mode de fonctionnement activable par l'utilisateur, ce mode de fonctionnement étant restreint par rapport à un mode de fonctionnement normal dudit véhicule. Selon la technique antérieure, de tels procédés et dispositifs sont mis en oeuvre par exemple sous la forme d'un système "tempomat". Avec ce système tempomat, la vitesse maximale peut par exemple être limitée et, à cet égard, un mode de fonctionnement restreint peut être défini par l'utilisateur. Ces procédés et dispositifs connus présentent néanmoins l'inconvénient qu'ils ne permettent pas de protéger efficacement le véhicule contre un usage non autorisé ou contre le vol. Selon l'invention, pour résoudre ce problème, ces procédés et dispositifs sont perfectionnés de sorte que le mode de fonctionnement restreint puisse être à nouveau désactivé uniquement par une personne autorisée, cette personne n'étant pas obligatoirement l'utilisateur.
