Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing assemblable parts for covering a surface to be covered.
This process will particularly find its application in the field of manufacturing decks made of exotic wood such as teak.
This application is not, however, limiting, and other types of surfaces to be covered are within the scope of the present invention.
In the particular field of boat decks, in a traditional way, decks, in particular in teak, are made on board pleasure vessels in an entirely artisanal way, that is to say by assembling blades of exotic wood on all the deck area to be covered. Optionally, a support layer is formed at the base of the blades additionally. The realization and the installation of such teak decks must be carried out piece by piece with many delicate adjustments directly on board the ship. It is particularly advisable to cut the blades, glue them, apply an eraser and finish sanding. This implies a significant need for manpower and immobilization of the ship, in addition to the interface problems between the trades during the construction or the repair of the ship. The operations mentioned above are also often carried out under difficult conditions. The present invention overcomes the drawbacks of the techniques known up to now, and proposes to do this a new method of manufacturing assemblable parts for covering a surface to be covered. According to the invention, the parts are produced in a precise manner in the factory, and are then easily transported and mounted on the surface to be covered, and this by greatly reducing the immobilization of the ship, while increasing the quality and the finish of the manufacture. .
Other objects and advantages will appear during the description which follows which presents a preferred embodiment of the process of the invention which is not however limiting.
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing assemblable parts for covering a surface to be covered, in which the external layer of the part is secured to a support layer and the part is cut to size for assembly with others. rooms.
Il comporte les étapes suivantes :It includes the following steps:
- Création d'une pièce d'encadrement supérieure comportant une découpe intérieure aux formes et dimensions du contour de la pièce, - Montage de la couche de support entre la pièce d'encadrement supérieure et une pièce de support inférieure,- Creation of an upper framing part comprising an interior cut to the shapes and dimensions of the contour of the part, - Mounting of the support layer between the upper framing part and a lower supporting part,
- Formation de la couche extérieure de la pièce par placement des lames de façon ajustée dans la découpe intérieure de la pièce d'encadrement supérieure, - Solidarisation des lames et de la couche de support,- Formation of the outer layer of the part by placing the blades in an adjusted fashion in the inner cutout of the upper framing part, - Joining of the blades and the support layer,
- Découpe de la pièce d'encadrement et de la couche de support selon le contour de la découpe intérieure de la pièce d'encadrement supérieure.- Cutting of the framing part and the support layer according to the contour of the interior cutout of the upper framing part.
This process could also include the following steps: - a numerically controlled machining center is used to create the interior cutout of the upper frame piece and the cutouts, - the upper frame piece is used as a reference of the machining center. - For the placement of the blades in the interior cut, they are glued, they are folded one by one in the said cut and they are kept under press during bonding.
The attached drawings are given by way of examples and are not limitative of the invention. They represent only one embodiment of the invention and will make it easy to understand it.
La figure 2 illustre une possibilité de réalisation d'une pièce de couverture.FIG. 1 illustrates an example of the surface to be covered in the form of a portion of a boat deck. Figure 2 illustrates a possibility of making a cover piece.
La figure 3 montre une première phase de fabrication selon le procédé de l'invention.FIG. 3 shows a first manufacturing phase according to the method of the invention.
Figure 4 illustrates a second manufacturing phase. Figure 5 illustrates the finalization of the manufacturing process and obtaining a part ready for assembly.
Figure 1 shows an example of the surface to be covered 2 in the form of a portion of a boat deck.
La couverture est réalisée par l'intermédiaire d'un assemblage de pièces 1.The cover is produced by means of an assembly of parts 1.
En conséquence, l'assemblage s'effectue par des pièces constituées elles-mêmes de lames individualisées.FIG. 2 shows more precisely an exemplary embodiment of a part 1 which in particular comprises an outer layer 10 here visible from above and consisting of a plurality of blades 3 juxtaposed for example in exotic wood such as teak. In the usual and traditional way, the surface 2 is covered by juxtaposing blades 3 on the surface of the boat. Consequently, the assembly is carried out by parts themselves made of individualized blades.
According to the invention, on the contrary, parts are produced comprising a plurality of blades assembled and adjusted to constitute a portion of the surface to be covered 2.
A method of manufacturing such a part 1 is described more precisely below with particular reference to FIGS. 3 to 5. It is easy to understand that the manufacture of parts 1 requires very high precision, all the more so since this manufacture is advantageously carried out in the factory and not on board the ship.
Beforehand, care was taken to precisely note the dimensions of the surface to be covered 2, then to subdivide this surface into as many parts 1 as necessary.
At this stage, it is possible to manufacture the parts 1. To this end, an upper framing part 5 visible in FIG. 3 is first created and having an inner cutout 7 allowing the reception of the upper layer 10 of the part. 1 to be manufactured as will be described more precisely below.
Generally, the parts shown here are made of wood or laminate. The interior cutout 7 has a profile and shape corresponding to that of the exterior contour of the finished part 1. The cutout 7 is used for mounting a plurality of blades 3 capable of constituting the upper layer 10 of the part 1. As indicated above, these blades 3 are advantageously made of exotic wood such as teak. The cutout 7 is formed according to the dimensions of the desired piece 1. It therefore suffices to adjust the blades 3 inside the cutout 7 to have the certainty of obtaining the specifications necessary for the final part.
It is advantageous to position the blades 3 on a support layer 4 capable of constituting the base of each part 1. For this purpose, a support layer 4 is present under the upper framing part 5 against which it is held pressed by by means of a lower support piece 6 attached from below. Figure 3 also illustrates this configuration.
The two parts 5, 6 are screwed in order to maintain the support layer 4 in position.
The assembly thus formed, and the blades 3 thus mounted in the inner cutout 7, it is possible to bond and bend the blades maintained in the upper framing part 5. These blades are kept in press for the time of bonding.
One thus obtains an assembly integral with blades 3 also integral with the support layer 4. It remains to cut the frame piece 5 and the support layer 4 along the contour of the inner cutout 7, for example by means of a cutter 8 of a numerically controlled machining center. This step makes it possible to release the finalized part 1 as shown in FIG. 5. Advantageously, the upper framing part 5 also has the function of ensuring the spatial location of the movements of the machining head. To this end, two contiguous edges of the upper framing part 5 can be placed in application on indexing points 9 of the machining center. Once the cut has been made, it is possible to extract the finalized part 1, that is to say comprising the assembly of the blades 3 on the support layer 4, and this with an external contour corresponding exactly to that desired.
The parts 1 can then be transported and mounted on the bridge with great speed of assembly and a high quality finish.
