BeschreibungDescription
The invention relates to a hard floor covering (1) which is made of a material, e.g. solid wood, or is constructed in multiple layers, e.g. laminate, prefinished parquet, veneer flooring, linoleum or cork, and which is connected on its underside with cross-linked natural and/or synthetic latex (2).
The current state of the art is that a hard floor covering (1) is either firmly connected to the subfloor (5) (glued, fixed) or laid floating. The disadvantage of floating hard floor coverings is that they give way when walked on or loaded and are set into audible vibration by the surrounding air. The resonance radiating downwards is referred to as impact sound and the resonance radiating upwards as room sound; structure-borne sound; walking sound refers to the natural vibrations of the hard floor covering (1).
There are hard floor coverings (1) on the underside of which, for example, cork, polyurethane, fleece, felt, paper, cardboard is glued as insulation, and which are laid floating, i.e. they are not connected to the subfloor (5). The insulation attached to the underside, which is light due to its low weight, does not completely displace the remaining air between the insulation and the subfloor, which then escapes sideways when the hard floor covering gives way when walked on. Structure-borne noise is generated by the freely vibrating floor covering. The radiated resonance is also known as walking and room noise. The energy shocks emanating from steps and movements are only partially absorbed by the flexible material, and footfall and room noise are not satisfactorily reduced.
The same applies to the installation method in which the hard floor covering (1) is laid floating on a previously laid intermediate layer (6), usually consisting of foam foil or cork or similar insulating materials. However, these measures can be completely satisfactory. The room or impact sound insulation is still inadequate. Laying the intermediate layers is also complicated. The underlays often slip or fold when laying the hard floor covering, which can have a negative effect on the installation process.
The aim is to achieve impact sound, room sound, structure-borne sound and walking sound, which arise when the hard floor covering (1) is firmly connected to the subfloor (5), e.g. in the case of a fully glued parquet floor, without the hard floor covering (1) and subfloor (5) being connected (glued) to one another.
The invention for solving this problem relates to a hard floor covering insulation made of cross-linked natural and/or synthetic latex (2), which is connected to the underside of the hard floor covering (1).
The invention is not concerned with the material question, i.e. whether cross-linked latex is used as natural latex or synthetic latex, either alone or in combination with one another - recipe, mixing ratios or admixtures and type of fillers as well as manufacturing processes e.g. foaming, spraying, coating, calendering, vulcanizing, as well as the possibility of introducing a carrier material e.g. fabric, glass fleece and also considerations for the profile design of the cross-linked latex (2). The invention makes use of the knowledge that sound insulation increases with the surface weight of the sound insulation pad. The sound-absorbing pad suppresses the spread of sound through strong damping caused by sound dissipation.
The invention achieves a significant reduction in impact noise, ambient noise, walking noise and structure-borne noise, along with a pleasant hearing experience. At the same time, the energy shocks caused by steps or similar movements are cushioned, and walking comfort increases significantly.
The cross-linked natural and/or synthetic latex (2) is connected to the underside of the hard floor covering (1) over the entire surface, e.g. by gluing or welding. The underside of the cross-linked natural and/or synthetic latex (2) lies directly on the vapor barrier, film that was previously laid on the substrate (5), or directly on the substrate (5) and adheres to it. It fixes the hard floor covering (1) without permanently gluing it to the substrate (5). Unlike gluing, the fixation can be removed easily and without leaving any residue. The hard floor covering (1) can work against the substrate (5) with the cross-linked natural and/or synthetic latex. Free-swinging air under the hard floor covering (1) is largely displaced due to the high elastic adaptability of the cross-linked natural and/or synthetic latex (2), which will even compensate for small unevenness in the existing substrate (5). The hard floor covering (1) bonded to the cross-linked natural synthetic latex (2) on its underside shows a resonance behavior like a glued hard floor covering.
