Abstract

The invention relates to a piece of sports equipment comprising a handle for holding and controlling the piece of sports equipment and a traction device (5) which is effectively connected to the handle (3) via two steering lines and exerts a tractive force on the handle (3) and an object that is coupled thereto in an active state. A safety device (9) which deactivates the traction device (5) when the tractive force reaches a threshold value is arranged on the handle (3).
