Abstract
Description
Luftmatratzeair mattress
Beschreibungdescription
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Luftmatratze mit den Merkmalen des Oberbegriffs des Anspruchs 1.The present invention relates to an air mattress with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
Air mattresses, consisting of at least one air chamber made of welded or glued webs of an air-impermeable material, the air chamber being provided with a closable valve for admitting and discharging air, have long been known. Such air mattresses are comfortable, but warm only minimally, since the air trapped in the air chambers can circulate freely and thus dissipate a lot of heat by convection. Foam-filled air mattresses are quite heavy, have a relatively large packing size and are expensive to manufacture, since delamination problems of the foam from the wrapping are to be avoided. Both types of air mattresses are prone to injury, so air can escape unintentionally faster or slower. This does not apply to closed-pore plastic mattresses, which are relatively thin and much less comfortable.
The object of the present invention is to provide an air mattress with improved warming properties, the susceptibility to injury also being reduced.
This object is achieved with the features mentioned in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments of the invention are included in the further claims. According to the invention, an air mattress consisting of at least one air chamber made of welded or glued sheets of air-impermeable material, the air chamber being provided with a closable valve for admitting and discharging air, characterized in that the air mattress is on the outside on at least one of its large sides is secured against slipping with a foam layer.
Die Umhüllung kann eine Klappe für das alsAccording to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the foam layer consists of closed-cell foam and the foam layer envelops the air mattress at least on its long surfaces. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the covering encloses the air mattress on at least three sides. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the covering consists of webs which are connected to one another directly or via textile bands, the connection consisting of sewing, welding or gluing. The wrapper can be a flap for that
Safety valve to prevent air from flowing back.
The material of the air mattress preferably consists of a thin textile or film material such as polyurethane or a lightweight fabric that is airtightly coated or laminated in order to achieve the lowest possible weight.
The slip-proof connection between the foam layer and the air mattress takes place, for example, by gluing or adhesion of the two materials directly or by an intermediate carrier. Alternatively, the slip-proof connection between the foam layer and the air mattress is made mechanically, for example by means of a Velcro fastener.
The invention is described in more detail below by way of example with reference to a drawing.
1 shows an air mattress 1, which is encased by a closed-pore, warming foam layer 2. Fig. 1 represents the air mattress 1 with the Foam layer 2 at the front in section. The air mattress is designed in a manner known per se with a valve (not shown), whereby its material can be considerably thinner than in conventional air mattresses, since it is against thorns or pointed stones or the like through the foam layer 2 is protected. The foam layer, which does not have to be thicker than about 4 mm in the embodiment shown, consists, for example, of ethyl vinyl acetate such as Evazote. If the air mattress is provided with a foam layer on only one side, its thickness should be 8 mm. If the air mattress is damaged in spite of the covering, in both cases there is still a supporting base in the strength and with the properties of a sleeping mat. At the same time, this means that the deflated air mattress can also be rolled up to the same dimensions as a sleeping mat and hardly has any weight.
