Abstract

The invention relates to a method for sorting rubbish. Said rubbish is pre-sorted by extracting foreign elements, separating ferrous and non-ferrous elements and fine-grain sifting. The rubbish flow transported on a conveyer belt is then sorted by sorting personnel positioned on one side of the conveyer belt. Said personnel extract solid rubbish elements such as glass, paper and plastic and transfer them into waste containers. The invention enables the effectiveness of one such method to be increased. To this end, the pre-sorted rubbish flow is divided and distributed among at least two conveyer belts (8, 9) in the form of sorting belts, and sorting personnel (SP) are assigned to both conveyer belts (8, 9).

Description

The invention relates to a method for sorting waste, in particular household waste.

Waste is a mixture consisting of different solid waste, in particular metal, glass, plastic, wood and organic compostable components, which is processed for recycling and composting the respective components. Modern process technologies for waste recycling are specific to waste material and therefore require a source material free of foreign matter, which must be provided by sorting the waste. When the waste is delivered, a manual pre-sorting is carried out, in which any existing interference components for processing, such as car batteries and large parts (refrigerators, stoves and the like) are removed. The subsequent separation of the individual components or groups of materials can be carried out manually and by means of suitable devices for sorting solid waste, the human factor playing a decisive role, since humans are unsurpassed in terms of their ability to differentiate and precision in non-repeatable activities.

Manual sorting of solid waste is preferably carried out with and on conveying devices, under which mobile or stationary containers are arranged, into which the sorted materials can be thrown. Sorting is essentially done by hand. slow-moving conveyor belts that are moved past sorting people. Slow-moving sorting plates and sorting carousels are also common.

In the case of the object according to WO 98/24562, the waste is sorted manually on at least one conveyor belt which is loaded with the waste at a loading station and under which waste containers for sorted waste are disposed, which are discarded by sorting people. The conveyor belt is arranged between two walls and at a distance from them, in such a way that there is a release space between the conveyor belt and the respective wall. The respective sorting person, who is sitting or standing on the side of the conveyor belt facing away from the respective wall, throws the sorted waste either into one of these dropping spaces, either towards him in the dropping space facing him or away from him into the dropping space beyond the conveyor belt so that the waste into one in this area. However, in order to be able to carry out a complete sorting of the waste stream conveyed on the conveyor belt, it has to be slowly moved past the sorting people. However, this leaves something to be desired with regard to the effectiveness of the sorting.

It is therefore an object of the invention to increase the effectiveness of such a method for sorting waste according to the preamble of claim 1.

This object is achieved in a method according to the preamble of claim 1 by the characterizing features. Advantageous configurations are listed in the subclaims.

The invention consists in that in a method for sorting waste, in which it is placed on a conveyor belt with the sorting out of interfering components and subjected to a subsequent separation of iron and non-iron components and a fine grain screening and thereby pre-sorted and then sorted as a waste stream conveyed on the conveyor belt What is done by removing and moving solid waste components such as glass, paper and plastic into waste containers by sorting people arranged on one side of the conveyor belt, the pre-sorted waste stream is divided and distributed over at least two sorting belts, and that the sorting people use the sorting belts be assigned. The advantage lies in the fact that this procedure considerably reduces the amount of waste assigned to the sorting personnel, so that they can sort more thoroughly and also more quickly as a result of the associated increase in clarity. As a result, the speed of the conveyor belt and the garbage throughput can be increased without the strain on the sorting persons.

In a preferred embodiment, a pre-sorted partial waste stream conveyed on a conveyor belt is in turn distributed to two further conveyor belts serving as sorting belts, on which the sorting takes place instead of the former. This further increases the effectiveness of the sorting process in the manner described above without a directly proportional increase in plant costs.

The sorting personnel are advantageously positioned between the sorting belts and throw or push the components to be sorted out over the outer edge of the respective sorting belt away from you. As a result, the sorting process carried out by one sorting person cannot be impaired by another sorting person. If necessary, the sorters stand or sit with their backs to each other in their position. Groups of four sorting people can be formed, who sort out a specific waste component on the two sorting belts, for example glass or plastic parts.

The individual groups can be accommodated in separate sorting cabins in which the sorting persons are protected from unpleasant smells, bacteria and fungi with which the waste can be contaminated. In a known manner, the sorting cabin can be under a slight overpressure or it is sealed off from the sorting belts that are passed by by assigning each sorting person on the sorting belt side a pair of sleeves with gloves that are sealed against an opening arranged in the cabin wall. At least one viewing window inserted into the cabin wall enables the partial waste stream to be viewed.

Finally, disruptive components that cannot be assigned to the specific waste components to be sorted are removed from the compostable organic residue, collected and brought to a landfill.

The learning ability and specialization ability of the sorting staff employed can go beyond the separation into roughly different materials, such as glass or plastic, for fine separation into different e.g. Glass or plastic types or qualities can be used.

In den zugehörigen Zeichnungen zeigen schematisch:The invention is explained below using two exemplary embodiments. The accompanying drawings show schematically:

Fig. 1: einen Verfahrensablauf zur Müllaufbereitung von der Müllanlieferung bis hin zu einer Kompostierung,1: a process sequence for waste treatment from the delivery of waste to composting,

Danach werden mittels Magnetabscheider Eisenteile und mittels Wirbelstromabscheider Nichteisenmetalle abgetrennt.2: the manual sorting method integrated in this method in an alternative embodiment. The processing of delivered garbage begins with the garbage acceptance by removing existing disruptive parts, such as car batteries and large parts, such as refrigerators, stoves, plywood, from household garbage. The waste is then loaded onto a conveyor belt using a wheel loader. Then iron parts are separated using a magnetic separator and non-ferrous metals using an eddy current separator.

In the next process step, a fraction with a grain size of less than or equal to 10 mm is sieved from the waste using sieving machines and, after sieving, is brought to an adjacent landfill. This fraction usually consists of stones, sand, ash parts, broken glass and the like. After this fine fraction has been screened, the presorted waste stream is divided and distributed on two sorting belts, on each of which sorting persons SP who carry out manual sorting are positioned in sorting cabins 1 to 6. A sorting person SP is positioned in each of these sorting cabins 1 to 6, the sorting cabins 1 to 6 being arranged between the two sorting belts and the sorting people SP working on the opposite sorting belts turning their backs. The sorting persons SP, who are positioned in the sorting cabins 1 and 2 and which the divided waste stream reaches first, remove all paper components P, those in the following sorting cabins 3 and 4 all glass components <G and those in the sorting cabins 5 and 6 all plastic parts K. Subsequently, a contaminant is selected again (station not shown). The organic fraction remaining on the sorting belts is then placed in composting drums with the addition of chopped green waste, in which the cell structure is destroyed by chopping and the surface of which is enlarged, and composted therein. By adding shredded green waste, the rotting process is accelerated and the throughput is increased.

2 shows the manual sorting method integrated in this processing method for composting in an alternative embodiment, in which, in contrast to the embodiment of the method described above, four sorting persons SK, two next to each other, are positioned in the sorting cabins. The garbage that was last pre-sorted by fine grain screening is conveyed away from the screening station (fine grain screening) on a conveyor belt 7 and divided into two partial waste streams I and II on the conveyor belts 8 and 9. Both partial waste streams I and II are divided again and placed on two sorting belts 10 and 11. As described above, waste is now sorted in the sorting stations 1 to 6 according to specific ones Waste constituents. As a result of the double occupancy in these, based on a sorting belt, the partial waste streams can be sorted thoroughly and at an increased speed, the sorted waste components being collected at the discharge points in containers (G), (P) and (K) provided. At the end of the sorting section, the largely organic waste components remaining on the sorting belts 8 to 11 are brought together by conveyor belts 12 and 13 and, as described above, fed to the composting.
