Abstract

A receptacle and a blank for forming a receptacle carrier for packaging fragile articles comprising a plurality of side wall panels (112, 114, 116, 118) hinged together to form a collapsible upright tubular structure for receiving an article (A) and article support structure (151) at the lower end of the tubular structure for supporting the article, wherein the support structure (151) comprises a plurality of displaceable strips (142, 142a) secured together such that when the tubular structure is erected from a flat collapsed form, the displaceable strips are automatically displaced into the tubular structure to form the supporting structure (151).
