Abstract

Zum berührungslosen Führen oder Behandeln laufender Materialbahnen (1) sind Vorrichtungen mit einer Kammer (2) bekannt, an die eine Zufuhr (3) für ein gasförmiges Fluid angeschlossen ist und die eine gasdurchlässige Wand (4) aufweist. Die Außenfläche (5) der gasdurchlässigen Wand (4) ist als Leitfläche für die Bahn (1) ausgebildet. Nach der Erfindung ist die gasdurchlässige Wand (4) aus einem porösen, metallhaltigen Werkstoff mit offenen Poren gefertigt, die einen mittleren Durchmesser von weniger als 500 νm, bevorzugt weniger als 100 νm, insbesondere weniger als 20 νm aufweisen. Der poröse Werkstoff für die Leitfläche ermöglicht es, die Bahn (1) auf einem Fluidpolster von weniger als 1 mm gleiten zu lassen. Die Verluste an Fluid an den nicht von der Bahn (1) abgedeckten Flächen sind sehr gering.
