Abstract

The invention relates to a key system for clarinets according to which the index fingers no longer have to play laterally positioned keys. Said keys are replaced with other keys and rods which make it possible to play the corresponding notes using the central ring-shaped main keys. The resulting new positions for the three highest notes of the lowest register support a further reduction in the number of keys, including for the little fingers.

Description

Beschreibung description

The invention relates to a key system for clarinets, which is described below. With all clarinets, as can be seen in FIG. 1, side flaps 2a, 2b, la, 7b, 7c, Id are attached, which are operated by the right or left index finger not with the ball of the finger, but with the second or third phalanx. The disadvantage of operating these flaps in interaction with other flaps lies in the required turning and tilting movements of the index fingers, which naturally cannot be carried out as easily and quickly as the simple movement of a finger ball up and down. In the currently most common French valve system, which is shown in FIG. 1, the two little fingers are also disproportionately loaded with five or four flaps 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d, 5e or 10a, 10b, 10c, 10d to be operated. The solution according to the invention for these disadvantages is that the side flaps 2a, 2b, 5c, 5e, 7a, 7b, 7c, Id, 10c, 10c? to be removed and replaced by a flap system with which the tones associated with 2a, 2b, 5c, 5e, la, 7b, 7c, Id, 10c, 10 with flaps 1, 2, 3, 4, 789, 5a, 5b and thus a simple up and down movement of a finger ball can be played. The valve system according to the invention and all associated details described below are shown in FIG. 2.

In the valve system according to the invention, the valves 5e, la, 1b, 1c, Id, 10c, lOd are removed. The flaps 2a, 2b, 5c, 10t have a new position and shape. The flaps and levers lax, 2c, 3a, 3x, 4x, 5bx, 5cx, 7S9x are new. The tone hole 2t is placed so that a purely tuning fork handle can be played with the flaps 1 and 3 in the first register. As intonation compensation for the second and third registers flap la can close flap 2 and thus 2t via a lever lax. Flap 3a creates the second alternative required for the fork handle. The opened flap 3 holds lever 3x down by spring force. The opened flap 4 holds lever 4 down by spring force. The opened flap 789 holds lever 789x down by spring force. If the flaps 3, 4, 789 are each closed, the levers 3x, 4x, 789x each rotate due to their suspension and in turn open the flaps 2a, 2b, 2c due to their stronger spring force. However, if the left thumb holds flap 1 closed, it prevents the levers 3x, 4x, 789.x: from rotating. In this way, flap 3 can only open flap 2a via lever 3x, flap 4 can only open flap 2b via lever 4x and flap 789 can only open flap 2c via lever 789x if flap 1 is open. The flaps 3, 4, 789 are shaped such that flap 789 automatically closes flap 4 when closed and flap 4 in turn automatically closes flap 3.

Um den Wegfall der Klappen 5e, 10c, lOd auszugleichen, bringt man Klappe 10t auf der gleichen Seite wieIn addition, the flap 5c, which is sprung to open, is placed in such a way that it can be opened or closed by the flaps 5a, 5b, 789 via the lever 5cx. The flaps 5a, 5b, 10a, 10b are designed analogously to the German system. In order to compensate for the loss of flaps 5e, 10c, 10d, flap 10t is placed on the same side as

10 Klappe 10b an und federt sie auf Schließen. Klappe 10Z> hält dabei Klappe 10t durch stärkere Federkraft offen. So kann Klappe 5b über Hebel 5bx Klappe 10t öffnen, auch wenn Klappe 10/3 geschlossen ist.10 flap 10b and springs to close. Flap 10Z> keeps flap 10t open due to stronger spring force. So flap 5b can open flap 10t via lever 5bx, even if flap 10/3 is closed.

15Overall, new handles result for seven tones, as shown in FIG. 3. The handles of all other notes remain the same as those of the French system. 15

Das erfindungsgemäße Klappensystem hat folgende Vorteile:The flap system according to the invention has the following advantages:

The flaps 1, 2, 3, 4, 789 are all operated by a simple up and down movement of the fingers and are in a row in terms of grip. This makes it easier and faster to connect all other tones to the three highest tones of the first

20 Registers 2a, 2b, 2c bewerkstelligen als bisher.20 registers 2a, 2b, 2c accomplish than before.

- Die kleinen Finger haben weniger Klappen zu bedienen.- The little fingers have fewer flaps to use.

- Der heikle oberste Ton des ersten Registers hat, akustisch sehr vorteilhaft, ein eigenes Tonloch.- The delicate top tone of the first register has its own tone hole, acoustically very advantageous.

There is no radical relearning when changing from a conventional clarinet - ^ required because the most important handles remain the same.

- The new fingering has greater parallels with the fingering of the saxophone.
