Abstract

A small-sized ultraviolet ray irradiation device using both an ultraviolet lamp and a chargeable battery. The battery becomes portable when it is charged from a household power source through an adapter jack for charging. When the switch of the device is turned on, an electric current flows through wiring and turns on the ultraviolet lamp. Ultraviolet rays are emitted from a narrow and long ultraviolet ray emitting port and the internal surface of the port is coated with aluminum foil so that the internal surface can reflect the ultraviolet rays efficiently. This device is used as a sterilizer which closely emits ultraviolet rays upon a fixed object, foodstuff, etc., while the device is moved leftward and rightward with bare hands.
