Abstract
Un ensemble surface portante rétractable (20) augmente la surface alaire (28) d'un avion (20), lui permettant de voler sans décrochage à des vitesses réduites pendant le décollage et l'atterrissage. L'ensemble surface portante comprend des voiles flexibles (42, 44) et un mât de ferlage (24) destiné à déployer et à rétracter les voiles. Le mât de ferlage comprend un tambour de ferlage monté pour tourner dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre et inversement sur un tube statique (50). L'ensemble voiles flexibles comprend également des rails de guidage (80) situés le long d'un bord d'attaque (101) ou d'un bord de fuite (40) des ailes. Les rails guident les voiles flexibles pendant leur déploiement et leur enroulement. Un câble de commande (26) déploie et rétracte les voiles (42, 44) le long des rails de guidage et maintient les voiles tendues lorsqu'elles sont déployées.
