Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé permettant de générer une image bidimensionnelle d'un scène tridimensionnelle observée depuis un point donné, ceci à partir des données tridimensionnelles concernant la scène tridimensionnelle. Cette scène tridimensionnelle possède une première surface plane ainsi qu'une seconde surface réfléchie dans la première surface plane. Ce procédé consiste à générer une image bidimensionnelle auxiliaire de la réflexion de la seconde surface dans la première surface plane, l'étape de génération consistant à réfléchir la seconde surface à travers le plan, ceci de manière à définir une seconde surface virtuelle. On utilise ensuite un plan de détourage afin d'éliminer une partie au moins de la seconde surface virtuelle qui occulte la vue depuis le point d'observation de la première surface plane. On génère ensuite une image bidimensionnelle principale de la scène, laquelle comprend une image bidimensionnelle de la première surface ne comprenant pas la réflexion de la seconde surface dans la première. On compose enfin l'image auxiliaire bidimensionnelle à partir de l'image bidimensionnelle principale, ceci en effectuant un mappage de l'image bidimensionnelle auxiliaire sur l'image de la première surface dans l'image bidimensionnelle principale.
