  • the sleeve 17 When it is desired to express water from the pad 13 the sleeve 17 is pulled upwardly along the handle 15 to cause the plate 14 to swing downwardly and compress the pad 13 against the bristles of the brush 10.
  • the flange 14a ensures that the pad as adequately squeezed. The expressed water is expelled through the spaces between the bristles thereby washing and cleaning the brush 10.
