Abstract

Cette invention concerne une découverte selon laquelle les cellules de trophoblastes f÷tales hypoxiques chez les mammifères sont un modèle valide d'une fonction placentaire maternelle anormale ainsi que d'autres types de cellules invasives. Les cellules de trophoblastes expriment de manière différente un certain nombre de protéines lorsqu'elles sont cultivées dans des conditions hypoxiques. Ces protéines peuvent être utiles afin de déterminer l'état de santé des trophoblastes, l'état d'une interface placentaire maternelle, ainsi que les propriétés invasives de cellules de type métastatique ou d'autres types de cellules invasives. Les cellules de cyclotrophoblastes hypoxiques constituent un moyen pratique d'isoler ces protéines et d'élaborer des nécessaires de dosage qui s'appuient sur la présence ou l'absence de ces protéines dans un échantillon provenant d'un être humain.
