Zum Reinigen von Teppichen sind mehrere Verfahren bekannt. Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß bei dem Verfahren der eingangs genann¬ ten Art dadurch gelöst, daß man während des Befahrens des Teppichs/Tep- pichbelags mit dem Bodenreinigungsgerät eine Reinigungsflotte aus dem Tank des Bodenreinigungsgeräts auf eine rotierende Zentrifugierplatte dosiert, die sich unterhalb der die Borsten tragenden Scheibe befindet, von wo sie auf ein über die Borsten der Scheibe gezogenes Textilmaterial (Textilpad) geschleudert wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist eine gleichmäßige Dosierung der Reinigungslösung, eine gleichzeitige mechanische Bearbeitung und damit nur eine geringe Menge an einzusetzender Reinigungslösung zur Erzielung eines hohen Reinigungsgrades möglich. Durch den Einsatz an sich bekannter, nur leicht veränderter Bodenreinigungsmaschinen ist das Verfahren preiswert und leicht handhabbar. Versuche haben gezeigt, daß der Teppichbelag im erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren außerordentlich gleichmäßig nur an der Ober¬ fläche, nicht aber am Teppichrücken befeuchtet wird. Bei der Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens kann durch Zug am Tankhebel 15 die Reinigungsflotte aus dem Flüssigkeitstank 13 und über den Auslaufschlauch 12 durch die zentrale Öffnung im Treibteller 19 auf die Zentrifugierplatte 20 fließen. Von hier aus wird die Flotte durch Rotation unter den Treibteller 19 und in das Textilpad 21 geschleudert. Mit dem rotierenden befeuchteten Pad 21 wird der zu reinigende Teppich abgefahren. Durch die gleichzeitige Zugabe der Reinigungsflüssigkeit, die während des Reinigungsvorgangs vom Textilpad auch wieder aufgenommen wird, und die mechanische Bearbeitung kann ein guter Reinigungseffekt auch bei niedriger Dosierung der Reinigungsflüssigkeit erzielt werden. Der Teppichbelag wird nur an der Oberfläche leicht feucht und es dringt keine Feuchtigkeit auf den Teppichrükken. Während des Verfahrens wird je nach Bedarf Reinigungs¬ flotte zudosiert. Im Gegensatz zu bekannten Verfahren, in dem der Teppich zunächst mit einem Kännchen befeuchtet wird, werden alle Stellen erfin¬ dungsgemäß vom Textilpad erfaßt, so daß eine ungleichmäßige Befeuchtung vermieden wird. Versuche ergaben, daß nach der Behandlung zwei Stunden Trockenzeit bei normaler Luftfeuchtigkeit ausreichen. Due to the simultaneous addition of the cleaning liquid, which is also taken up again by the textile pad during the cleaning process, and the mechanical processing, a good cleaning effect can be achieved even with a low dosage of the cleaning liquid. The carpet only gets slightly damp on the surface and no moisture penetrates the back of the carpet. Cleaning liquor is metered in as required during the process. In contrast to known methods, in which the carpet is first moistened with a jug, all points are covered by the textile pad according to the invention, so that uneven moistening is avoided. Tests have shown that two hours of drying time under normal atmospheric humidity are sufficient after the treatment. After the end of the process, possibly also during the process, the pad that has taken up the contamination can be removed and washed out.
