Definitions
- the invention is directed to a mobile floor cleaning device with an integrated dirt collecting chamber in which, in the operating state, there is a negative pressure generated by a suction blower integrated in the floor cleaning device and into which a hose line connected to a suction nozzle attached to the floor cleaning device near the floor opens.
- Devices of this type are known as dust and water vacuum cleaners or, if they are provided on the floor with a rotating brush and a liquid sprayed onto the floor from a fresh liquid compartment integrated in the device in the region of the brush, as a floor scrubbing machine.
- the dirt liquor is sucked into the dirt collecting chamber integrated in the device via a suction nozzle attached to the device near the floor and preferably sliding on rubber tips on the floor.
- the floor cleaning device is pushed over the moist cleaning surface, the suction result very much depending on whether the elastic lips sliding along the floor lie perfectly on the floor over their entire length.
- suction lips which on the one hand have to be sufficiently supple but on the other hand also have to be sufficiently resistant to abrasion, usually consist of rubber.
- coarse dirt such as straws, grass, twine, paper snippets, cigarette ends or the like
- the suction result is greatly adversely affected. Stripes and streaks form on the surface that is no longer properly vacuumed.
- the floor cleaning device In order to remove the annoying coarse dirt, the floor cleaning device must be stopped every time and the coarse dirt must be placed under the lips of the suction nozzle by hand be preferred.
- the object of the invention is to significantly reduce the impairment of the performance and the suction result by coarse dirt in such devices.
- this object is achieved according to the invention in that, in front of the front face of the suction nozzle in the direction of travel, a coarse dirt rake, preferably in the form of a Brush strip, is arranged.
- the invention prevents coarse dirt which is still on the floor surface which is still moist and to be vacuumed from getting under the suction lips of the suction nozzle when the floor cleaning device is being moved.
- the coarse dirt is picked up by the brush strip and pushed in front of the suction nozzle. Since the floor surface in the operating state in the area in front of the suction nozzle is moist, the coarse dirt floats on a thin water film and is easy to move with the coarse dirt rake, preferably in the form of a brush strip. Only when a sufficient accumulation of coarse dirt has accumulated in front of the brush strip will the operating personnel expediently stop the floor cleaning device and suck off the accumulated coarse dirt from the floor by lifting the suction nozzle. The cleaning of the floor surface now only needs to be interrupted very rarely and then at a time to be determined by the operating personnel. In the meantime, the cleaning result is not impaired by the coarse dirt pushed in front of the suction nozzle.
- the invention provides in one embodiment that the brush strip has a series of at a distance of 2 to 10 mm spaced bristle bundles, preferably of relatively stiff bristles.
- the brush strip is rigidly but height-adjustable, connected to the suction nozzle. In this way, the brush strip performs all the movements of the suction nozzle and quite the coarse dirt in front of the suction nozzle.
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a mobile floor cleaning device with coarse dirt rake arranged on the suction nozzle and in
- Fig. 2 is a perspective view of a coarse dirt rake.
- the mobile floor cleaning device shown in FIG. 1 has a carriage, generally designated 1, with castors 2 and a handlebar 3 with an operating device (not shown).
- a large part of the interior of the carriage 1 is occupied by a liquid tank, generally designated 4, which can be closed with a cover 5.
- the liquid tank 4 consists of a fresh water compartment and a dirt collecting chamber designed as a waste water compartment.
- a cleaning rotor 6 On the underside of the carriage 1, a cleaning rotor 6 is shown, which can be driven by an invisible drive.
- a beam-shaped suction nozzle 7 is arranged in the rear region of the carriage in the direction of travel of the carriage 1, ie on the side of the driving rollers 2 facing away from the cleaning rotor 6. It slides with rubber suction lips 7a along the floor surface to be cleaned.
- a suction fan which is also not shown and is arranged inside the carriage 1, generates a negative pressure in the operating state which is sufficient to remove dirt, that is to say a dirt liquor, via the suction nozzle 7 and the hose line 8 and / or dirt or dust particles to be sucked up from the floor and into the dirt collecting chamber.
- the suction nozzle 7 is rigidly and firmly attached to a nozzle holder 10, which in turn is arranged on a fastening element 11 attached to the carriage 1, which is pressed by an elastic spring element in the direction of the floor to be cleaned. With the aid of the fastening element 11 and the spring element 12, the suction nozzle 7 with its suction lips 7a is pressed well onto the floor to be cleaned.
- the suction nozzle 7 can also be lifted a few millimeters from the floor surface to be cleaned.
- a lever 13 is connected to the nozzle holder 10 via a nozzle lifter cable 14. By actuating the lever 13, the nozzle holder 10 and thus the suction nozzle 7 can be raised slightly.
- the suction nozzle 7 is fixed and rigid on the nozzle holder 10 and the nozzle holder 10 is also rigid and fixed on the fastening element 11.
- the fastening element 11 is mounted in such a way that the above-described movements upwards or downwards and lateral pivoting movements are possible.
- the suction nozzle 7 is thus attached to the carriage 1 in such a way that it is always moved with the carriage 1 in the same relative position and position.
- a coarse dirt rake 15 is fastened in front of the front face of the suction nozzle 7 in the direction of travel.
- About spacers 16 is provided with bristle bundles 17 of relatively stiff bristle bar 18 rigid and fixed at a distance of 0.5 to 2 cm in front of the front surface of the bar-shaped suction nozzle 7, so that the coarse dirt rake 15 always the same relative position during operation Carriage 1 and the suction nozzle 7 maintains.
- the strip 18 has elongated holes in which the spacers 16 are fastened, so that the strip 18 is fastened in front of the suction nozzle 7 in a height-adjustable manner.
- the bristle bundles 17 arranged on the brush strip 18 are each at a distance of 2 to 10 mm from one another, so that a sufficiently large opening cross section remains between the individual bristle bundles 17, which allows the dirty liquor located on the floor to be cleaned, between the bristle bundles 17 to pass through and to be sucked up by the suction nozzle 7. Only coarse dirt is retained from the bristles of the bristle bundle 17 reaching down to the floor to be cleaned. As soon as in the cleaning company certain proportion of coarse dirt such as B.
- the coarse dirt rake 15 is preferably designed to be somewhat shorter than the suction nozzle 7, but it can also be of the same length or can also protrude laterally beyond the suction nozzle 7.
