Profiled structure for frames, characterized by the fact that: it is composed mainly from a profiled supporting structure destined to constitute the framework of the window and door frame realized with the frame assembly of profiles in plastic material (4A, 4F) in order to form a supporting core profile (4); and the said frame (4A, 4F) is coated internally and externally with profiled panels of metal (81) and/or wood (82).
Description
DESCRIPTION
PROFILED STRUCTURE FOR WINDOW AND DOOR FRAMES AND RESPECTIVE WINDOW AND DOOR FRAMES WITH SAID STRUCTURE
Technical Field My invention relates to a profiled structure for window and door frames and respective window and door frames with said stru cture .
Background Art In the prior art it is known that the profiled structures for frames, particularly of metallic type have on one hand the major advantage of sturdiness, and resistance to atmospheric degradation but on other hand the disadvantage of having a high sonic and thermic conductivity and so the external insulation is substantially reduced. Contrary to this, a frame in wood has the advantages of insulation and of a better aesthetic aspect but has the disadvantages of inferior mechanical resistance, great expansion to thermic changes and easy degradat ion which al so requires high maintenance costs. To prevent this drawback variou s solutions have been proposed among which excel the profiles made of wood-metal in which the supporting metallic structure is generally external whilst the internal structure is panelled wilh strips of wood joined to the metallic structure by means of a polyurethanic connection or by
means of rotational dowels or other convenient means. Even if this solution resolves a large quantity of the problems, substantial limitations however still remain, as for example not being able to supply a frame entirely made in wood both internally as well as externally. Furthermore, the desire to realize an entirely metallic profile, always presents the drawback of the low thermal and acoustic i nsul ation . Furthermore with the noted solutions ii is necessary to realize according to the specific needs, di fferent types of profiles, wood- metal or just wood. Finally in metallic frames the hardware that is utilized is subject to easy rusting even if galvanized, due to the galvanic currents that are produced between the metallic frame, that is generally of aluminium, and the hardware itsel f (by hardware we intend, steel screws, locks, counter-locks, hinges, etc.). To prevent this drawback of rusting one is obliged to use stainless steel which is notoriously very expensive. Attempts to produce frames in plastic material have always given very bad results especially for their superficial aspect.
Disclosure of Invention The object of the present invention is to avoid the drawbacks mentioned above. This and other aims are reached in a way which is surprisingly simple and until now unthought of, as claimed, by means of a profile structure for frames, characterized by the fact that :
• it will be composed mainly from a profiled supporting structure destined to constitute the framework of the window and door frame realized with the frame assembly of profiles in plastic material in order to realize a supporting core profile, and • such a frame is coated internally and externally with profiled metal strips preferably aluminium and its alloys anodized and/or wood. Advantageously the said supporting frame with the said core profile in plastic material forms both the frame that is fixed to a wall as well as the frames forming doors and windows, in other words movable frames hinged to the first. Just as advantageously the said core profile in plastic material destined to form a door, small door, window, extends substantially in an "L" section for forming a support and fixing side for the respective glass. These and other advantages will appear in the successive description of preferential solutions of realization with the help of the attached drawings whose execution detai ls are not to be considered limitative but only supplied as an example. Figure 1 is a sectional view of a first realization form of two ensembles of profiles for a window frame respectively a wall profile ensemble and an anta profile ensemble. Figure 2 represents a sectional view as in Figure 1 , in a variation in which the core extends with an " " shaped wing for the support of the glass panel. In the Figure the wall is indicated with 1 and the safety case generally in galvanised steel sheetplate is shown with 2. The frame with the wall fixing is shown wilh 4F while the movable
anta hinged to the first is indicated wilh 4A. The innovative characteristic is that the said antas 4F, 4A are composed from an assembly of quadrangular profiles (4) in plastic material to be panelled externally and internally with other profiles either metallic (81 ) or in wood (82). The hooking systems of these external profiles can be made with any system of the techniques known such as rotational dowels 7 or even connections in plast ic materi al as for example. polyurethane foam, etc. The subst antial di fference if compared to the present frames consists therefore in the fact that : • we are not dealing with frames in anodized aluminium with only one side panelled with wood strips: • instead there is a profile core in plastic material (4) generally of robust type as for example polyamides (known under various trade names such as Nylon, Delrin, etc.) • this core profile (4) is panelled either: - on both sides with metallic profiles of type 81 , - or on one side with wooden strips (82 ) and on the other side with metal strips (81), - or on both sides with wood profiles of the type 82. Therefore evident are the many possibilities that we can supply in the typified finishes of the frame (wood or metal on both sides) but above all we also have the big advantage that the internal core ofplaslic material, not only provides for an efficient thermal and acoustic insulation, but will prevent any conduction of galvanic current to the hardware via the respective attachment ends (41 ), thus avoiding its rusting.
In the figure weather strips are indicated by 5 and the fixing of the entire frame to the safety case 2 occurs after having fitted and rotated the "L" shaped hook dowels in plastic material 3 onto the outside of the core profiles also in plastic material 4F and whence fixed to the case (2) on its longest connection wing by screwing means not illustrated. Internal and external panel profiles 8 may be applied as desired and may be easily replaced. In Figure 2 the solution is the same the only difference being that the core profile in plastic material 4A has an "L" extension 42 for the support of the glass 6. preventing the glass from falling if the panel profiles that enclose it are taken away.
