Abstract

Détecteur d'image comportant un dispositif à couplage de charge (CCD), pouvant fonctionner soit en mode entrelacé soit en mode non entrelacé et comprenant une pluralité de photodétecteurs situés dans un substrat en matériau semiconducteur, tels que des photodiodes, disposés en rangées et en colonnes. Un registre à décalage de dispositif à couplage de charge (CCD) séparé, situé dans le substrat, s'étend le long de chaque colonne de photodétecteurs. Un premier et un deuxième ensemble de grilles conductibles s'étendent transversalement sur les registres à décalage de CCD, la première grille de chaque ensemble s'étendant sur une partie des photodétecteurs de chaque rangée et la deuxième grille de chaque ensemble s'étendant sur la partie restante des photodétecteurs de chaque rangée. Une région de transfert s'étend sur le substrat entre une partie de chacun des photodétecteurs et le registre à décalage de CCD contigu. Les régions de transfert des photodétecteurs alternés de chaque colonne s'étendent sous les premières grilles des photodétecteurs et les régions de transfert des autres photodétecteurs de chaque colonne s'étendent sous les deuxièmes grilles des photodétecteurs respectifs. Afin d'utiliser le détecteur d'image à CCD en mode entrelacé, les deux ensembles de grilles sont excités alternativement pendant la phase de transfert avec un déchiffrage du registre à décalage après l'excitation de chaque ensemble de grilles pour déchiffrer la moitié d'une image à chaque fois. Lors de l'utilisation du détecteur en mode non entrelacé, la totalité des grilles est excitée simultanément pendant la phase de transfert pour déchiffrer la totalité de l'image en une seule lecture.
