Abstract

Un système et un procédé d'estimation de la vitesse pour réseau de radio cellulaire comportent un certain nombre d'unités d'estimations de vitesse (14-20). Chaque unité comprend une fenêtre de calcul de moyenne (24) de durée différente, une mémoire tampon (26) et un calculateur de variance (28). La durée de chaque fenêtre est équivalente au temps que prend une unité mobile pour parcourir une distance de 20 longueurs d'ondes du signal reçu à une vitesse particulière. Un signal d'entrée est appliqué aux unités. La durée de la fenêtre détermine la signification des composantes à évanouissement rapide du signal se rapportant à la vitesse de l'unité mobile. Quand la moyenne d'une fenêtre est pratiquement constante, on peut en déduire que la vitesse correspondant à cette fenêtre est réalisée ou dépassée. Une logique de décision (30) est conçue pour interroger les sorties des calculateurs de variance pour calculer une indication d'estimation de vitesse.
