UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ROBERT M. KEATING, OF MIDDLETOWN, CONNECTICUT.
DESIGN FOR A BASE AND SHAFT SUPPORT FOR GASOLENE-ENGINES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,1 10, dated February 19, 1901.
Application filed January 18, 1901. Serial No. 43,818. Term of patent 7 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, ROBERT M. KEATING, residing at Middletown, in the county of Middlesex and State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a Base and Shaft Support for Gasolene-Engines, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
This invention is a design for a base and shaft support for a gasolene-engine.
Figure 1 is an elevation of one side of the base and support, and Fig. 2 is a reverse view of the same.
The upper portion of the base is on a straight line a, from which line a the straight edges 1) I) extend to the intersection of the nearly cylindrical motor-case c, which case has a flat face d and a central perforation f, substantially as shown. The wheel-case c at one tuberance e.
The protuberance chas a round perforation g'. The wheel-case is nearly cy'- lindrical, struck from the center of the open ing g, and having its flat face It on the plane parallel with the plane face (Z, but not the same plane, the protuberance 6 being a projection from the flat or plane face h. A reverse view shows the nearly cylindrical case with its flat face h surrounding the opening g and having the rim 7e extending nearly around the circle, but merginginto the smaller curved riin Z, which is concentric with opening The curved rim 1 thus projects from the flat face d of the motor-case, which is 0pposite to and parallel with the flat face 61 of the motor-case. Near the flat edge a there is a curved projection 0.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a base and shaft support for gasolene-engines, as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two Witnesses.
ROBERT M. KEATING. Witnesses:
