Be it known that I, J onN T. WnBs'rnn, of the city of New York, in the county of New York, and State of New York, have origiuated and designed a new Pattern for Floor Oil-Oloths, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specifi-v oation.

The drawings, painted in colors, on what is known as design-paper, represent a complete design for floor oil-oloths.

This design, when repeated or reversed on the ends and sides, forms two principal compartments, or centres, of two different complexions, light and dark, alternating diagonally, and divided by a broken diagonal frame.
