Application filed August 12, 1897. Serial No. 648,054. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may veneer-n:
Be it known that I, OnARLEs BERGENER, of Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Cycle-Lamp Bodies, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyin g drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of the lamp-body, showing my design; Fig. 2, a plan view of the same.
The design relates to lamp-bodies for cyclelamps; and the leading feature is the cylindrical body, around which is arranged a series of rounded pillars or tubes connecting with the body at the top and bottom and the annular band near the upper ends of the pillars.
The body of the lamp (indicated by 1) is cylindrical in form, and upon opposite sides are arranged the windows 2. From the front of the body extends the goggle 3 in the form of a truncated cone, the larger end or base projecting outward, in which outer end the lens 4 is located.
Near the upper portion of the body is an annular band or flange 5, extending out from the body and having the annular recess 6 in its periphery.
7 indicates cylindrical pillars 0r tubes, four being employed, as in Fig. 2, extending parallel with the bodyand connected to the latter above and below the band, and the lower portion of the body is perforated at 10 and provided with a head 11 below said perforations.
I claim- The design for a lamp-bod y substantially as herein shown and described.
CHARLES BERGENER.
